S'pore post to issue new Zodiac monkey stamp set for upcoming Lunar New Year

Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) will issue a new Zodiac monkey stamp set to usher in the Lunar New Year, the company said on Thursday.

The new stamp set comprises three stamps, each with a colourful illustration of a creative, witty and agile monkey, the ninth animal sign in the Chinese Zodiac circle.

The monkey stamp set is the ninth of 12 sets of stamps in the second Zodiac stamp series issued by SingPost which began in 2008.

The 12 animal signs in the Chinese calendar are rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.

This issue of the stamp products will be for sale at all post offices and the Singapore Philatelic Museum. Enditem
