Urgent: Oil prices decline amid rising U.S. production

Oil prices plunged Wednesday as U.S. crude output of last week increased unexpectedly.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery moved down 2 U.S. dollars to settle at 33.97 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for February delivery decreased 2.19 dollars to close at 34.23 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. Endit
