Hoffenheim's Nazario set for Brazil move

Xinhua, January 4, 2016 Adjust font size:

Hoffenheim midfielder Bruno Nazario is close to joining Brazilian Serie A club Cruzeiro, the 20-year-old said on Sunday.

Nazario has played just two matches for the Bundesliga club since 2013 and spent last season on loan at Poland's Lechia Gdansk.

"Negotiations [with Cruzeiro] are 80% complete," he told newspaper Estado de Minas. "The proposal was made a few weeks ago. I'm very excited about the opportunity."

"I have grown a lot both on and off the pitch. Europe is totally different to Brazil and there is an adaption process. I played there when it was 20 degrees below zero. I learned that you can't stop working your hardest."

"I am really motivated and prepared for the challenge. I have to show the manager what I'm capable of and earn a place in the team."

Cruzeiro finished eighth in Brazil's top flight last year after winning the previous two Serie A titles. Endit
