Palestinians back Saudi war on terrorism

Xinhua, January 4, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) on Sunday announced that it backs the war that Saudi Arabia is waging against terrorism to restore security and stability in the Arab world and the Middle East.

The PNA earlier welcomed Saudi Arabia's invitation to join its coalition to fight terrorism.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi have met and agreed to consult and coordinate on all fields between the two sides, according to the PNA.

A PNA statement quoted King Salman as saying that Saudi Arabia will not change its supportive position to back the Palestinian cause.

In mid-December, the PNA welcomed the formation of the Saudi-led military coalition to fight terrorism, saying the Palestinian participation would help bring about security and stability for the entire region. Endit
