Pakistan condemns attack on Indian airbase

Pakistan on Saturday condemned attack on an Indian airbase that killed at least three Indian security personnel.
A group of armed men launched a pre-dawn attack at Pathankot, a key air base for MiG-21 Bison fighters and Mi-35 attack helicopters, located 50 km from the border with Pakistan, Indian media reported. Four attackers were also killed in clashes.
The Foreign Ministry in Islamabad extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of India and the bereaved families and also wished the wounded speedy and full recovery.
A statement said building on the goodwill created during the recent high level contacts between the two countries, Pakistan remains committed to partnering with India as well as other countries in the region to completely eradicate the menace of terrorism afflicting the region. Endit
