Xinhua, January 1, 2016 Adjust font size:

Two people were killed and several others injured on Friday in a shooting attack in central Tel Aviv, Israeli police said.

A suspect apparently opened fire at people in a bar, but the motive is still unclear, police spokeswoman Luba Samri said in a statement.

The injured were evacuated to Ichiilov hospital in the city and Belinson hospital in Petah Tikva, 10 km east of Tel Aviv.

Police forces cordoned off the scene and are conducting a manhunt to arrest the suspect who fled the scene. Endit
