British FTSE 100 increases 0.96 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday increased by 0.96 percent, or 59.93 points, to 6,314.57 points.

Share price of Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 4.58 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon, Smith & Nephew and Hargreaves Lansdown increased by 3.25 percent, 3.19 percent, 2.81 percent and 2.77 percent, respectively.

Anglo American led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 6.31 percent, followed by Pearson (2.93 percent), BP (1.69 percent), Rolls-Royce Holdings (1.68 percent) and Rio Tinto (1.57 percent). Endit
