2nd LD Writethru: 12 killed in suicide blast at government office in NW Pakistan

At least 12 people were killed and 32 others injured in a blast at a government office in Pakistan's northwest Mardan district on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

Sayyad Wazir, regional police officer, said that a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden motorbike at the main gate of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra).

He said that the attack happened in Dosehra Chowk area of Mardan in the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Doctor Haris, District Emergency official, confirmed that they have received 12 bodies and 32 injured people at the two major hospitals of the city where at least 10 of them are in critical condition.

He said that the causality number is feared to rise as more injured people are being brought to the hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Police cordoned off the area for investigations. Enditem
