December sets temperature records in Belarus

Wednesday, Dec. 23, was the warmest day in the first month of winter since the start of meteorological observations in Belarus, 10 degrees Celsius higher than the average level.

Meanwhile, the average temperature of December in Belarus is also 5-7 degrees Celsius higher than the normal temperature, said Dmitry Ryabov, the chief of meteorological forecasts service of the National Center for Hydrometeorology.

Abnormally warm weather prevails in Belarus due to entering of warm air from the Atlantic.

According to meteorologists, the temperature on Dec. 23 in Belarus was 7-13 degrees Celsius, which is above the norm by 5-10 degrees Celsius.

The temperature on Thursday will go down a little bit to 4-9 degrees Celsius. Endit
