Dafalgan Pediatrie 30mg/ml in many EU countries recalled

Luxembourg Ministry of Health has issued an alert against some vials of "Dafalgan Pediatrie" which may contain polyurethane.

This is one of the most used drugs in pediatrics in many European countries, especially in Belgium, France and Luxembourg, confirmed the ministry to Xinhua on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, polyurethane particles have been found in packaging equipment of some batches of drugs "Dafalgan Pediatrics 30mg/ml."

A possible product contamination can not be excluded and the drug of mentioned batches are to be returned to the pharmacy, it said.

According to a ministry statement, the firm Bristol-Myers Squibb Belgium has recalled the medicine Dafalgan Pediatrie 30mg/ml for "reasons of non-conformity." Enditem
