Winter Nadam festival kicks off in N. China

A winter Nadam fair featuring a series of ice and snow events kicked off Wednesday in Hulunbuir, a city of northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

   The three-month festival, which runs through March 1, 2016, will be highlighted with a series of sports including Mongolian wrestling, horse racing, horse taming, skiing and marathon.

   Nadam is a mass traditional Mongolian festival for celebration of harvests and pray for good luck.  Endi
