Xinhua, December 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

China beat the United States 1-0 in a women's soccer friendly game held in New Orleans on Wednesday evening, the country's first victory after losing 22 straight games.

It was the second of the two-game series to prepare for the Olympic qualifying tournament in February next year. China lost 2-0 to the U.S. on Monday.

Wang Shuang scored the winner eight minutes into the second half of Abby Wambach's farewell game.

Wambach, whose 184 goals made her the top soccer in women's soccer history, helped the Americans win this year's World Cup. Endi
