Barcelona eye fifth title before Club World Cup semis

Xinhua, December 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

FC Barcelona have set their eyes on their fifth title of this year before the FIFA Club World Cup semifinal against Guangzhou Evergrande on Thursday.

Barcelona's coach Luis Enrique said on Wednesday at the pre-match conference that his team will win "100 percent" against the Asian champion club.

"They were fighting well, like a south American team. We really need to be focused, we determine to win 100 percent," he said.

Barcelona were just two victories away from their fifth title in 2015. They will face Argentina's River Plate in the final if they beat Guangzhou Evergrande.

"We have gone though a lot of hardships, it is an important title, for players, coaching staff and everyone of the club," Enrique said.

"The motivation of the players are very high now, mentally they are very excited," he added.

It is the first time that Barcelona face a Chinese team in an official match. Enrique admitted his team did not know much about their opponents, but he did point out some key players of the Chinese side.

"We know they have four Brazilian players including Paulinho and Robinho, they are great players with experience," Enrique said.

The two-time AFC champions scored a late goal to overcome Mexican side Club America to reach their second Club World Cup semifinal after 2013.

"Many people say it was a surprise that Guangzhou won over Club America, but actually, in 15 minutes, something can happen in football," said Enrique.

"If you lose your focus, you can give away the match in 15 minutes, so we need to concentrate," he added. Endi
