China, Kyrgyzstan security officials meet on cooperation

Senior security official Meng Jianzhu met Abdil Segizbaev, chairman of Kyrgyzstan's State Committee for National Security on Tuesday, urging the two sides to enhance security cooperation.

Meng, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries.

Meng called on Kyrgyzstan to participate in the China-proposed Belt and Road initiative to realize prosperity, peace and stability in the region.

Abdil Segizbaev said Kyrgyzstan stands ready to deepen pragmatic cooperation with China in cracking down on the three evil forces of terrorism, separatism and extremism to safeguard the security and stability of both sides. Endi
