Singapore stocks close almost flat

Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.48 points, or 0.02 percent, to close at 2,815.52.

A total of 870.2 million shares changed hands with turnover of 860.3 million Singapore dollars (610.1 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 203 to 184, while 540 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 19.59 points, or 0.69 percent, to close at 2,815.04 on Monday. Enditem
