Blast kills 4 civilians in E. Afghanistan

Four people, all civilians, were killed in a blast that rocked Shigal district in the eastern Kunar province, a local official said Monday.

"The blast took place in a shop in Shigal district Sunday evening, leaving four civilians dead including two teachers," head of provincial council Jamaludin Sayar told reporters here.

Kunar police chief Abdul Habib Sayedkhili also confirmed the deadly incident, saying investigation has been initiated into the case. Endit
