India to launch 6 Singaporean satellites

India will on Wednesday launch six Singaporean satellites into space on board its indigenous Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle from the southern spaceport of Sriharikota.
According to India's state-owned space agency, the countdown for the launch of the six satellites began Monday morning.
"The 59-hour countdown activity of PSLV-C29/TeLEOS-1 Mission has started at 07.00 hours today (Monday)," the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said.
It added "The Mission Readiness Review committee and Launch Authorisation Board have cleared the countdown."
While TeLEOS-1 is the primary satellite weighing 400 kgs, whereas the other five satellites include two micro-satellites and three nano-satellites.
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle would place the six satellites into a 550-km circular orbit inclined at 15 degrees to the equator. Endit
