Xi demands CPC's absolute leadership over Party schools

Xinhua, December 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged Party schools to embrace absolute leadership of the CPC and train officials with strong faith, belief, discipline and sense of responsibility.

"To realize the goal of building a moderately prosperous society and the Chinese dream of great national rejuvenation, the key is to mould a troop of officials that are as strong as iron in belief, faith, discipline and sense of responsibility," Xi, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said at a meeting on Party schools.

The Party schools' work forms an important part of the CPC's work and the schools are the main platform for training officials. The schools assume the tasks of "supplement calcium and strengthen the bones" for cadres and officials, said Xi.

The schools must stick to the fundamental principle of upholding the absolute leadership of the Party and pay more attention to the education and training of officials, he said.

The meeting was also attended by senior leaders including Li Keqiang, Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Wang Qishan, Zhang Gaoli and Liu Yunshan. Endi
