11 killed in traffic accident in eastern Turkey

Eleven people were killed and six others injured in a traffic accident in eastern Turkey on Saturday, private Dogan news agency reported.

A minibus carrying many students for Open University exams collided with a coming minibus on Van-Ercis highway in Van province early Saturday, leaving 11 students dead and six others injured, according to the report.

An investigation into the accident is underway, the report said. Endit
