BiH entity gov't announces to halt cooperation with state court

Xinhua, December 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Republika Srpska (RS), an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), announced on Thursday to stop cooperation with the national court, prosecutors and police.

The RS government made the decision after members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) raided a police station inside the RS to collect evidence connected to war crimes.

In a statement, the RS government blasted the raid as "provocative," declaring the entity government will halt cooperation with the BiH court, prosecution and police.

The decision needed approval by the entity parliament.

BiH is consisted of two entities, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) dominated by Bosniaks and Croats, and the RS dominated by Serbs. Enditem
