IAAF to reallocate 2016 events Russia lost over doping

An accelerated bidding process has been opened on Thursday for the reallocation of two 2016 IAAF World Athletics Series competitions, which were originally set in Russia.

   Four cities have bid for the World Race Walking Team Championships, which were to be in Cheboksary, Russia in May, including Rome, Italy; Kiev, Ukraine; Monterrey, Mexico and Guayaquil, Ecuador, IAAF confirmed in a statement.

   The World Junior Championships, which were due to be in Kazan, Russia in July, have attracted three bidders: Perth, Australia; Bydogoszcz, Poland and an India city yet to be confirmed.

   The new hosts will be chosen on January 7 by the IAAF council.  Endi
