Hornets throttle Heat on 99-81

Kemba Walker and Marvin Williams scored 18 points apiece as the Charlotte Hornets beat the Miami Heat 99-81 for their third straight win on Wednesday night.
Nicolas Batum and Jeremy Lamb added 10 points apiece for the Hornets. Tyler Johnson scored 20 for Miami, which had won three of four. Dwyane Wade and Gerald Green added 11 each.
Charlotte opened a 77-52 lead late in the third quarter on Cody Zeller's dunk and Batum expanded the lead to 30 point with a dunk early in the fourth period to put the game beyond reach.
Also on Wednesday, Isaiah Thomas scored nine of his 20 points in the final three minutes as the Boston Celtics beat the Chicago Bulls 105-100.
Kelly Olynyk scored 15 points. Jae Crowder and Evan Turner had 13 apiece and David Lee added 12 as the Celtics had eight players scored in double figures and won for the fourth time in five games.
Jimmy Butler led Chicago with a season-high 36 points and Pau Gasol had his fifth straight double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Derrick Rose scored 12 points for the Bulls, who lost their third straight.
Matt Barnes buried a midcourt 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left as the Memphis Grizzles edged the Detroit Pistons 93-92.
Zach Randolph led Memphis with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Marc Gasol finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds while Courtney Lee came off the bench to add 14.
