The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned private U.S. donors' funding of Israeli settlements built on Palestinian lands, urging the U.S. government to prevent the funds from flowing in.

Israeli media outlets have recently reported that a network of tax-exempt nonprofit organization funneled more than 220 million U.S. dollars to West Bank settlements between 2009 and 2013. (Palestinians-U.S.-Settlement)

MOSCOW -- Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Tuesday that Russia attacked the Islamic State (IS) positions in Syria with Kalibr missiles fired by the submarine deployed in the Mediterranean Sea.

According to Shoigu, the missile launch was carried out by the sub from a submerged position, striking two major targets of the IS. (Russia-IS)

BRUSSELS -- Negotiators of the European Parliament, the European Council and the European Commission have agreed on the first EU-wide legislation on cybersecurity, aiming to regulate internet service providers and to improve cybersecurity in the EU.

BERLIN -- The number of refugees registered in Germany officially reached one million three weeks before the end of 2015, Germany's Bild newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The exact millionth refugee was registered on Tuesday shortly before 12 p.m. local time, the newspaper quoted a spokeswoman for the Bavarian Ministry of Social Affairs as saying. (Germany-Refugees) Endit
