"An anonymous threat" forces Air France flight to land in Montreal

An Air France flight from U.S. city San Francisco en route to Paris was diverted to Canada's Montreal after an "anonymous threat", the carrier said on Tuesday.

"Following a anonymous threat, the crew of AF083 decided to land in Montreal as a precaution. Flight landed normally," Air France said on its Twitter account.

"Local authorities carry out checks," it added.
