Singapore stocks close 0.86 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 24.89 points, or 0.86 percent, to close at 2,876.03.

A total of 991.0 million shares changed hands with turnover of 913.3 million Singapore dollars (648.3 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 276 to 108, while 547 others finished unchanged.

The STI index up 21.87 points, or 0.76 percent, to close at 2,900.92 on Monday. Enditem
