Australia's Neil Robertson beat Liang Wenbo 10-5 to win the UK Championship for the second time and made the first ever 147 in a major tournament final.
Robertson, winner here in 2013, became the eighth player in snooker history to lift the trophy more than once, earning the top prize of 150,000 pounds plus a 44,000-pound bonus for the 147.
The 28-year-old Liang also became the second Chinese player following former world No. 1 Ding Junhui to reach the final in the world championship, the Masters or the UK Championship.
Liang lost his only previous final at the 2009 Shanghai Masters. He finished with a cheque for 70,000 pounds.
He said, "There was pressure and I don't know why, I didn't concentrate. The pressure shots I didn't play very well."
Liang jumped to 15th in the rankings which earns him a place in the Masters next month. He'll make his debut in the invitation event against John Higgins in London's Alexandra Palace. Endi
