Brazil's Cruzeiro target Seedorf for coaching job

Xinhua, December 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazil's Cruzeiro are attempting to sign Clarence Seedorf as their head coach next year, according to media reports in Brazil on Saturday.

The club's football director Thiago Scuro is in Europe to make an official proposal to the former Dutch international, the Superesportes MG news portal reported.

Scuro confirmed he was travelling to speak to potential new coaches, but declined to reveal names.

"I'm traveling, but for several reasons. I will not confirm or deny any possibility," he said. "What I can say is that I am working hard. We will present our project to various professionals."

Seedorf already has experience in Brazilian football, having played with Rio de Janeiro outfit Botafogo before assuming AC Milan's head coaching job in January last year.

Cruzeiro's current coach Mano Menezes is expected to take charge of China's Shandong Luneng within days.  Endi
