Crude bombs explode in Bangladesh Hindu temple, injuring at least 10

Xinhua, December 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least 10 people were injured in northwestern Bangladesh after several crude bombs exploded in a Hindu temple early on Saturday, police said.

The police officer said at least three crude bombs were detonated by unidentified miscreants at about 1:15 a.m. (local time) Saturday when hundreds of devotees were watching a jatra (open air drama) show arranged on the occasion of traditional Rash Mela (fair) on the premises of Kantajew Temple in Dinajpur district, some 338 km northwest of capital Dhaka.

All the injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, said the police officer who did not like to be named.

Ruhul Amin, the district's Police chief, however, said law enforcers have arrested three people in connection with the bomb attack incident in Kantajew Temple, one of the most magnificent Hindu religious edifices belonging to the 18th century. Endit
