Business good for China's 2022 Olympic skiing venues

Xinhua, December 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

A Chinese county which will host most of Olympic skiing events in 2022 has received more visitors in November than the same month last year.

Over 248,000 visitors, a 30 percent rise over November last year, swarmed to the skiing mecca of Chongli, nestled in mountains near the Great Wall where Beijing 2022 will stage Nordic skiing and other events,

The county's best known resort - Wanlong - is having good business, receiving 300 to 500 visitors daily and 1,500 to 1,700 on weekends since the skiing season started on November 1, said the resort's general manager, Yu Donglin.

Chongli has opened four ski resorts to the public and a fifth one will open late this month.

Beijing and its co-bidder Zhangjiakou won the right to host 2022 Winter Games on July 31. Endi
