2 Palestinians killed by Israeli troops in southern West Bank

Xinhua, December 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Two Palestinians were shot dead early on Friday by Israeli troops' gunfire in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, medical sources said.

The sources said the two Palestinian young men were in their mid-20s and both belonged to the same Fanoon family. They were killed in Tal Romeida neighborhood in the city by Israeli troops' gunfire.

The sources said the soldiers held the bodies of the two dead Palestinians and refused to hand them over to their families.

Meanwhile, Israel Radio reported that the two Palestinian young men stabbed with a knife an Israeli soldier at one of the road barriers in the city and the latter was wounded, before they were shot by other soldiers.

The Palestinian health ministry said in a press statement that since the start of the current wave of violent tension in early October between Israel and the Palestinians in the Palestinians territories, 112 Palestinians have been killed.

In the meantime, 20 Israelis were killed in a series of shooting and stabbing attacks carried out by Palestinians in Israel, east Jerusalem and the West Bank to protest increasing Israeli measures against al-Aqsa Mosque in east Jerusalem. Endi
