Indian stocks close lower

Indian stocks closed lower on Thursday after a hawkish commentary from U.S. Federal Reserve Chairperson Janet Yellen made the rate hike certain.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 25,886.62, 231.23 points or 0.89 percent down from previous close of 26,128.20, with a turnover of 377.82 crore rupees (about 56.6 million U.S. dollars). Endit
