Israeli army blows up home of Palestinian convicted for killing 2 Israelis

The Israeli army blow up early on Thursday the house of a Palestinian from the West Bank, who has been convicted for killing two Israelis two months ago, a Palestinian security sources said.
The sources said that an Israeli army force stormed the house of Ragheb Eleiwi, who is currently imprisoned in an Israeli jail, and evacuated its inhabitants and then placed explosives and blew it up south of the West Bank city of Nablus.
Eyewitnesses said that heavy confrontations broke out between Palestinian young men and the Israeli army forces, which came to destroy the house.
Meanwhile, Israel public radio reported on Thursday that Eleiwi led the group of gunmen who opened fire at an Israeli settlers' car and killed a man and his wife near the settlement of Itamar close to Nablus two months ago.
An Israeli court convicted Eleiwi for recruiting the group of gunmen and providing them with arms.
In Nov. 14, the Israeli army forces blew up the homes of four Palestinians in the West Bank convicted for killing three Israelis in separate shooting attacks.
A violent wave of tension between Israel and the Palestinians broke out in early October in the Palestinian territories. Medical officials said that 108 Palestinians had been so far killed.
Israel said that 20 Israelis were killed during the same wave in a series of shooting and stabbing attacks carried out by Palestinians.
Meanwhile Israeli radio reported that the Israeli army arrested 19 Palestinians in the West Bank, including a Palestinian security officer, adding that the Israeli army found with the detained Palestinians a rifle and ammunition. Enditem
