Chinese player Zhang Chengdong started for his club Rayo Vallecano for the first time as the Spanish top-flight team beat Getafe 2-0 in the first leg of the fourth round at the King's Cup on Wednesday.

It's Zhang's debut since he joined Rayo Vallecano on loan in July this year.

The 26-year-old Zhang began his professional career with Chinese league club Liaoning, where he had a three-season spell before joining Portuguese Club Deportivo Mafra. He also played for Leiria Uniao, Beira Mar in Portugal and Eintracht Braunschweig in Germany. He has been with Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan since 2013.

Zhang is also expected to be the first Chinese player to play in the  Spanish La Liga.  Endi
