Leopalace21 Myanmar Open will inspire young golfers to excel in professional games and develop the country's tourist industry, according to Myanmar Golf Federation on Thursday.

   Scheduled to take place at Royal Mingaladon Golf and Country Club here from Feb. 4 to 7 next year, the tournament will be jointly organized by Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour organization.

   The Myanmar Open has been staged on 13 occasions on the Asian Tour since 1996, with the last competition held in 2013.

   A total of 114 international players from at least 25 countries and regions, including Myanmar golfers, will compete in the contest, which will be played over 72 holes (4 rounds) of stroke play.  Endi
