Cooperation accords between China and Venezuela can help strengthen the South American country's industrial and technological progress, President Nicolas Maduro said Wednesday.

"We are seeking economic, productive and technological independence ... through China's experience and our important partnership," Maduro said at the inauguration of Yutong bus manufacturing plant in the western state of Yaracuy.
