Urgent: Gold down ahead of ECB meeting

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange fell on Wednesday as traders prepared their positions ahead of a meeting of the European Central Bank.

The most active gold contract for February delivery fell 9.7 U.S. dollars, or 0.91 percent, to settle at 1,053.80 dollars per ounce. Endit
