6 children killed in fire at Quran School in SE Turkey

Six children were killed and three others injured in a fire at a school teaching Quran in southeastern Turkey on Tuesday, private Dogan news agency reported.

The fire broke out in the residential Quran Course building in Karaagac village in Kult town of Diyarbakir province early Tuesday morning.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

Turkey's Anadolu news agency said an electrical heater may have caused the fire. Endit
