Authorities in the U.S. state of Colorado confirmed that at least four police officers and an undetermined number of civilians were injured in an ongoing active shooter situation in a building where a planned parenthood clinic is located in Colorado Springs of the state Friday.

ABUJA -- At least 15 bodies have been evacuated from the scene of a suicide attack targeted at a Muslim procession in Dakasoye town of Nigeria's northwestern state of Kano on Friday, security and medical sources said.

Many others were injured following the suicide attack which occurred as a Muslim sect held a procession from Zaria city of the neighboring Kaduna State to Dakasoye, located about 20 km to Kano's main city, said a medical worker at a state-run hospital. (Nigeria-Attack)

ISLAMABAD -- At least 17 militants were killed when Pakistani army launched airstrikes in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency on Friday, an army statement said.

Inter-Services Public Relations, the mouthpiece of Pakistani army, said in a statement that the troops backed by jet fighters pounded several militants' hideouts in Rajgal area of Khyber Agency, a semi-autonomous tribal area along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. (Pakistan-Airstrikes)

SANTIAGO -- An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted 69 kilometers northwest of Taltal, Chile, at 21:00:21 GMT Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
