Albanian trade deficit reaches 39 mln dollars in Oct.

Albanian National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) Friday said the trade deficit for October 2015 was 30 billion ALL (39.09 million U.S. dollars), down by 0.6 percent compared to October 2014, but increasing 27 percent compared to September 2015.

According to INSTAT, exports were valued at 20 billion ALL, registering a 9.3 percent fall compared to the same period of 2014.

Meanwhile, imports were valued at 50 billion ALL, declining 4.3 percent compared to October 2014 and registering a growth of 14 percent compared to September 2015.

Furthermore, in October 2015, minerals, electricity and fuels had the biggest negative contribution to the annual decrease of the country's exports, with a decrease of 9.3 percent.

INSTAT reported in October 2015, countries with which Albania had the highest increase of imports, compared to last year were China, Turkey and France.

Albanian main trade partners remain Italy at 37.3 percent, China with 7.1 percent and Greece with 5.9 percent of total trade. Enditem
