Two suspects, who were arrested for the deadly attack on a hotel in Mali's capital Bamako, have been identified, a statement from Mali's intelligence agency said.

The two are Seidou Diepkile and Adama Maiga who were caught in Bamako suburb districts last Friday, the statement said, but didn't give further details. (Mali-Terror Attacks)

PARIS -- French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on Friday said cooperation with Syria's ground governmental forces is possible in order to fight the Islamic State (IS) but without President Bashar al-Assad.

"We don't want to send our forces, this would be counterproductive. But (there can be) Syrian soldiers from the Free Syrian Army, Sunni Arab states and why not regime troops," Fabius told RTL radio. (France-Anti-IS Military Operation)

PARIS -- French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on Friday said Russia guaranteed to bomb only Islamic State (IS) insurgents after it had asked Paris to provide it with a map localizing forces that fight Islamist militants.

BAGHDAD -- A total of 23 were killed on Friday in a suicide bomb attack and a U.S.-led coalition air strike against militants of the Islamic State (IS) group in Iraq's western province, a provincial security source said.

In early hours of the day, a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden military truck into an army position in Jubba area, some 200 km northwest of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, and blew it up, leaving 17 soldiers killed, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. (Iraq-Terror Attacks)

ANKARA -- A meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the coming climate summit in Paris on later this month is possible, but no time has been set for a bilateral meeting at the moment, said Turkish presidential sources on Friday.
