Yu Weiguo named acting governor of Fujian

Yu Weiguo was appointed acting governor of east China's Fujian Province on Thursday.

The Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress made the appointment at a session in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian.

Yu Weiguo, 60, is also deputy secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Su Shulin, former governor of Fujian, is under investigation for serious disciplinary offenses. Endi
