Tokyo shares end higher by break on buoyant overseas markets

Tokyo stocks ended the morning session higher on Thursday as investors' sentiment was boosted by buoyant performances in the overnight European markets.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average jumped 111.68 points, or 0.56 percent, to 19,959.26.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 7.12 points, or 0.45 percent, at 1,601.79. Enditem
