BATE, Leverkusen score draw in Champions League

Belarusian team BATE Borisov played out to a 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night in the Belarusian town of Borisov.

The hosts started the match brightly, opening the scoring in the second minute through Belarusian player Michael Gordeychuk.

The first half was an equal fight, but after the break the visitors gained the upper hand and eventually drew level through Admir Mehmedi.p To qualify for the knockout stages, Borisov need to win in the final round against AS Roma on December 10 and count on the fact that the Barcelona will take away points from Bayer.
