Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned home late Tuesday night after his four-day tour of Malaysia and Singapore.

Modi flew back to the Indian capital from Singapore, where he went during the last leg of his two-nation tour. His first stop was Malaysia, where he attended the ASEAN-India Summit in Kaula Lumpur.

At the ASEAN-India Summit, the Indian Prime Minister pitched for his country as a destination of immense opportunities in a bid to attract investors.

In Malaysia, Modi also held delegation-level talks with his Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak and both countries signed key pacts on cyber security, culture and public administration.

From Malaysia, where he also attended the East Asia Summit, Modi flew to the neighboring city-state of Singapore.

In Singapore, Modi met Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsein Loong and both leaders signed a joint declaration on strategic partnership aimed at improving bilateral relations.

He also met Singaporean President Tony Tan and witnessed the signing of nine accords, apart from addressing the India-Singapore Economic Convention that was attended by CEOs of several companies.

Modi also addressed the Indian Diaspora and said that development was his only task, and pledged to make the Indian tax regime more transparent and predictable. Endit
