Belgian prosecutor issues warrant for Paris attacks suspect Abrini

Xinhua, November 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Belgian federal prosecutor on Tuesday issued an international arrest warrant for a new suspect believed to have been involved in the Paris terror attacks.

Mohamed Abrini, 30, was filmed on November 11, two days before the attacks, in the company of Salah Abdeslam at a motorway service station in the northern French town of Ressons, heading in the direction of Paris, the prosecutor said.

Abrini was driving a Renault Clio which was used in the Paris attacks, the prosecutor's statement added.

"This person is actively sought by the Belgian and French police services," the prosecutor concluded.

Abdeslam is already the subject of an international arrest warrant for his suspected role in the Paris attacks, which killed 130 people and left hundreds of others injured. Enditem
