Alaba questionable for UEFA Champions League encounter

Xinhua, November 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

Austrian international David Alaba may miss the UEFA Champions League encounter against Olympiacos FC due to an ankle injury, the German giants said in an official statement on Sunday.

Alaba's fielding against Greek side Olympiacos FC in UEFA Champions League is doubtful, as the 23-year-old left-back suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's 3-1 victory over Schalke.

An examination by Bayern club doctor Volker Braun revealed a capsule injury in the left ankle. Whether Alaba can play or not depends on the healing process in the next few days.

The "Bavarians" face Olympiacos FC for the top clash in Group F at the fifth round of Champions League on Tuesday. Endi
