Urgent: China says striving to conclude RCEP talks by 2016

China on Saturday said that it is willing to make joint efforts with other parties to wrap up the prolonged negotiation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) by 2016.

The announcement was made by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang addressing the 18th ASEAN-China, Japan and South Korea (10+3) leaders' meeting in Malaysia, ASEAN' s rotating chair this year.

He also said that China's talks with ASEAN on the upgrading of their free trade area (FTA) will end soon.
