China's flight punctuality rate rises in October

Xinhua, November 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

China's flight punctuality rate rose more than 10 percentage points year on year in October, the civil aviation authority said Saturday.

Last month, the average punctuality ratio of domestic airlines stood at 81.94 percent, up by 11.04 percentage points from a year earlier, data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) showed.

The flight punctuality ratio for major Chinese airports was up by 10.72 percentage points to 83.28 percent.

Air China, Shandong Airlines and Sichuan Airlines had the highest punctuality rates last month, the data showed.

The CAAC has moved to raise the punctuality ratio of airlines and airports. Last month, the authority penalized three airports with lowest punctuality ratios in September by not granting any new routes or flights in November. Endi
