The Liberian government on Thursday expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their tremendous contributions to the West African country's reconstruction process.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf made the remarks during the dedication of the China-funded expansion project of the Monrovia Vocational Training Center (MVTC) located on the outskirts of the capital, Monrovia.

Sirleaf described the newly-constructed MVTC buildings as a great contribution to Liberia's development drive.

She said the new buildings equipped with modern facilities will enable young Liberians to acquire vocational skills relevant in a nice environment.
