Poland hosts military exercise of four Visegrad group countries

Troops from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, the four Visegrad Group countries, participated in a joint exercise in north-western Poland on Thursday.
Almost 2,000 soldiers took part in the Common Challenge-15 exercise wich foresees a scenario of an international conflict over natural resources. Representatives of Ukraine also participated in the operation.
Polish President Andrzej Duda, while watching the drill, said that close cooperation of efficient armies was a way to ensure peace and stability in Europe facing the terrorist threat.
"The only answer that we can have in order to ensure peace and stability to our citizens is to have efficient armies that co-operate well together, ready to jointly carry out key stabilization, peace or humanitarian missions." Duda said.
He added that integrating European military forces was important and needed, as the geopolitical threats and the disturbances of peace and tranquility in this part of the world were obvious.
The president also added that the terrorism threat has already become a global threat. The maneuvers will last till Nov 20. Endit
